Collaboration with OxRSE

If you would be interested in collaborating with OxRSE, we encourage you to get in touch with us. Research Software Engineers from OxRSE will be able to discuss software-related aspects of your project and provide expert advice on software or infrastructure plans.

Internal

Preferably we would be contacted at the grant proposal stage and costed directly into your grant application. The time of an RSE being roughly equal to the time of a grade 8.3 postdoctoral researcher.

If you already have available funds OxRSE time can be funded using our small research facility (SRF) with a standard daily rate. As of September 2026 our standard daily rate is roughly £380.

External

External companies and other organisations can also take advantage of OxRSE's expertise to integrate research software into your development or to upskill your team on software engineering and data science practices.

Please get in touch with us to discuss how the OxRSE team can help you.

If you are ready to contact the team about your research project then click the button below to submit a project enquiry. Somebody will be in touch shortly to discuss the details of your project and how we can support you.

Cloud Consultancy

We offer free short-term consultancy sessions (limited to 1-2 days) in cloud computing to researchers internal to Oxford University.

This support is intended for researchers who need assistance with cloud computing tasks, such as:

  • Advice on moving research software to the cloud
  • Scaling up applications, data processing, or analysis
  • Cost optimization strategies
  • Data security and GDPR compliance in cloud environments
